Sound healing.

Every part of us vibrates. Whether we realize it or not, within every cell, every tissue, every thought, and every memory is a specific vibration that makes up the total vibration of who we are. Everything around us also has a vibration, be it a plant, an animal, or a cell phone. Some of these vibrations combine and create harmonious patterns; some of these patterns create disharmony and dis-ease. Within our body, there are seven main chakras where subtle energy from higher planes becomes denser through acupuncture points and meridians eventually condensing into the physical body. The chakras get energized by specific vibrations enabling healing of the organs and emotions related to them. By balancing the chakras, imbalances in the physical body will often disappear.

Everything is in a constant state of vibration. As each and every atom produces a particular sound on account of its movement, rhythm or vibration, these form a universal harmony in which each element, while having its own function and character, contributes to the whole. Sound is a vibration that resonates in every cell of our body and has the power to heal not only on a physical level but also on emotional and spiritual levels. When we look up “heal” in the dictionary it says “to make sound”. When we look up “sound” in the dictionary it says “normal and healthy, not weak, diseased or impaired”. Sound healing is when we combine this powerful medium of vibration with the intention to heal allowing the body to adjust and recalibrate back to health. Join me on the auspicious evening of the equinox, a day of equal daylight and darkness, a day of balance on Saturday, September 22nd for Autumn Equinox Chakra Balancing. We will restore ourselves to wholeness, balance, and well-being using Tibetan singing bowls tuned to each chakra while lingering in restorative yoga postures creating more harmony in ourselves, our lives and in our world.

Agua.

Water is life. Without water, there is no life. Our body composition is more than half of this simple but remarkable essential molecule, H2O. We use water to clean everything including our bodies internally and externally. Water is worthy of our attention and time, not only from an ecological perspective but also for our own healing. Take the time to care about the water you drink, from the container that holds it to the energetics it contains. Avoid drinking from plastic cups or purchasing plastic bottled water as these contain BPA (bisphenol A) which has been shown to disrupt the endocrine system and affect the brain and behavioral development in children.

Equally important is the energetics of the water. We have seven main energy centers of the body, called chakras, which align the spine, starting from the base of the spine through to the crown of the head. All chakras are associated with a color and vibration. The heart chakra is green with a vibration at 528 Hz, the frequency for healing and DNA repair. Place water in a glass jar and fill a bathtub while playing a recording of 528 Hz or the F singing bowl so the water is constantly being vibrated by this love frequency. Water your houseplants and fill your pets’ water dishes with this loving healing water. Take a ritual bath with this water using La Luna Alchemy’s Ritual Bath placing the crystal on your heart space (Anahata chakra) while soaking. Feel negative energies release as its qualities open your heart, expand your consciousness, prompt peace and hasten healing. Love loudly yogis, Namaste.

Retro.

Hello retrograde…this month has five retrograde planets, yes I said five: Mercury, Saturn, Jupiter, Venus, and Pluto. While the new beginnings of the Spring season arrive with enthusiasm, this retrograde movement in April will delay any firm rooting. Retrogrades have a funny way of stirring up the past, creating a wrinkle in time that allows us to retrace our steps, reflect, and offer us the most opportunity for soul growth. So be sure to give situations additional thought, care, and consideration.

Mercury goes retrograde on April 9th. The Mercury Retrograde period is an excellent time for deepening our trust and connecting with our intuition. Allow additional travel time, exercise patience with yourself and others, take care of your technology and triple check details before signing on the dotted line. In the midst of all this rerun flashback, I am really excited to offer La Luna Alchemy’s Mercury Retrograde Elixir to help neutralize or prevent potential negative effects of this 3-week period. This elixir supports us to relax and shift into an “intuitive” perspective more easily to help resolve disruptions that bubble up during this time.

Saturn goes retrograde tonight so it’s a good opportunity for us to think about the things in our lives that led us to where we are in our relationships and our jobs. We can take this occasion to go over any steps we need to take to rebuild our career or see where aspects need reworking, remodeling or reviewing.

Jupiter retrograde requires introspection and an awareness that inner growth is necessary for our hopes and dreams to materialize as personality traits and behaviors that require extra development will be illuminated. Even if we are traveling on the right path at this stage, we will be reminded how important it is to be happy and content with what we have.

Venus retrograde is one of the most significant astrological transits because it only happens once every 18 months. This is a time to heal the wounds of our heart, to let go of past lovers and relationships, to let go of past hurts and blockages, and to open ourselves to a deeper love. It is also a great opportunity to tap into our intuition and to really listen and follow through on our gut feelings.

While Pluto is retrograde we should be ready to let a piece of our personality, a piece of our life, or someone in our life give way or go in order for things to be changed and made new. It is a useful time to do a body cleanse and wash away the pollution inside our bodies or do a cleansing of our environment.  On Earth Day this month, I am offering a total body cleanse symposium which will discuss bodycare, a detox yoga flow and explore our relationship to the foods we eat for a more optimal state of health, well-being, and clarity of mind. For more details and to register go to Renew & Restore: A Conscious Cleanse. Take this extraordinary month to open to the marvelous possibilities of the cosmos and delve deeper into your true Self. Shine on yogis, Namaste.
